Go Google Go!!

Ok Google has done it again!! 1st it was the Search Engine, We Love it!!! Well Bing doesn’t think so, but to bad the rest of the world doesn’t feel Bing is ready to deal with Google(sorry microsoft, I still got love for you) Then they slipped us Gmail on the low, and that put a hurtin on aol and yahoo with all the free space!! Then Google dropped Gtalk, its very own Instant Messaging service attached directly to your gmail, and if your into IM then this gives you access to everyone in your gmail address book, and if your like me that a lot of people! Recently they gave us Google Voice, now a lot of people are not up on Google Voice as yet, but I am swearing by it!!! With “GV” you get a phone # that some would consider loose because its usually not based in where you are from, for instance mine is from north carolina and I’m from NYC(Home of Hip Hop) but I have to say with all cell phones having free long distance within its country, and most land lines as well, that shouldn’t bother you, also “GV” has low cost international calling!! With the “GV” # you can assign it to whichever phone you want, you get a visual voice mail when a voice mail is left, you can listen in as the voice mail is being left, I’m telling you this thing is gonna change the way you give out your #!!! You can make calls from a computer, which connects through your land line or cell or you can make the call directly from a smart cell phone provided it supports the App(Blackberry def supports it, iphone is still looking at it, and I’m not sure about win mobile phones ie palm). With “GV” Free unlimited texting(on your smart phone too, as long as you have an unlimited data plan) when you get a chance ask for an invite at Google.com/Voice
Now Google is dropping something else that is gonna change the way we communicate! Google Wave, Wave is a group communication tool that let’s people send stuff, no matter text, audio, video etc in real time. Google is still building it, and I’m still playing with it, but In my opinion, google Wave can be used as a classroom, a boardroom meeting, conferencing projects, mos def its a time and energy saver!!! I’m interested in those who have Google wave what they think and possibly let’s work on something together?!?

New Zune in Hand

Ok I’m not sure if your excited about the 3rd Gen Zune that is out now, but it is mos def worth checking out, as you know the 1st gen dropped, a bit like a brick, because it was bulky, and MicroSoft’s excuse…Sorry, Reason… was it had more features than its competitor, no need to mention the top selling mp3 player here, like the Radio, well not only have they finally given you a slim device, they now have HD(Hi-Def) Radio, and the ability, with the help of an extra device, to pick up TV in HD, mostly touch screen with fluidity, and very vivid colors on the screen…Clean Zune, but may I make a suggestion, put a HD Video Cam(at least 720p), with good mic for decent audio, and you’ll actually have a leg up on you know how….unless THEY’re already working on it?!? The Air of WiFi

Ok so I was chilling at work on a Sunday, it was 859p and the DJ’s were Changing, Kay Slay was about to go on and Camilo just got off, Camilo sets up his laptop and puts this little square next to him, now I’m up on my Tech, but I figured in my pursuit for the truth about Tech, and the newest Tech, I must have overlooked the New Air cards that the wireless companies are using now! I’m use to the usb plug in card, but those are prone to getting Broken, just ask Dj Bobby Trends, he broke his by walking with the laptop in his hands and usb aircard sticking out, it hit the doorway, and that was it, but this New Air card that connects WiFi, you don’t have that problem, just don’t forget to take it with you when you leave!

Spec: check with your Wireless service provider, they help you with the set up, all I know is it does not physically connect to the computer, Ever, 1 small usb port for Charging, Pretty Clean, you now have mobile web and 1 more usb port for use

Its a pretty cool app for BB’s called Radio Companion from Nobex, it will let you add other stations in other markets IF you happen to need somethings other then WQHT!! Def Jam RapStar

Well for those of you who weren’t satisfied with the shortcomings of the last wave of musical titles for the 360, Hip-Hop is here to save you.The good folks at Def Jam Interactive and 4mm Games are proud to bring you ‘Def Jam Rap Star’.  Why should you be excited for this? Because, this game is gonna be a must buy for YOU. Hot 97 was in the building during e3 this year. We got our paws on a exclusive preview of  Def Jam Rapstar. Even though it was in early stages, the game was a blast. The voice matching was so much more on point than other titles out, the selection library was crazy, and the presentation just made the experience that much more exciting. Half Way through me doing Jeezy’s song, it turned into full fledged party.

Now I know you saw the trailer and thought the game was gonna be corny, but the selling point is not the commercial, its not going to be in any previews or screenshots, its what this game does to you when you grab the mic and start the show. If you’re a shower/bathroom/in the mirror rapper, this is for you. A get-together won’t be complete without this game.

Don’t call it a comeback…..really Don’t

I’ll be the 1st to admit, I was a myspace junkie….in 2004, around the same time when they took the bad taste out of social media sites that a blackplanet or migente left on the Web palate, myspace was the ish, you could upload your own pics as long as you shrunk them properly, have “friends” you never met, post music for all to hear then post a bulletin so all your “friends” could check out whatever you have going on in your space….it was great, facebook was around but they were purely for students, so it wasn’t as popular, and myspace was it, and then they sold for 500 million, The scams and pure fuckery started……the fake artist profiles, the fake profiles to make new artist look popular in order to get signed, excessive emails from the “friends” you don’t really know explaining how “they know I get a lot of emails but they’ve got the fire”(they were right, I did, and still do get a lot of those, and None are fire, in my opinion)
And due to all of that and the fact that facebook opened up to non students(they saw an opportunity)people started flocking to facebook for there daily social networking, and myspace started to fall to a weekly then monthly, then good ole once and a while check in, they tried to fight back with the copying whatever they could from facebook, like the status, until twitter came along and killed both of them on that(and with twitters mutant growing style, twitter may takeover the web like a skynet situation in the next couple of years) so now myspace is way down steadily slipping it grip in the “Big 3″ as it Was #1 its now #2, quickly moving to #3, once out of the top 3 it will be with any other social media site that fell to the side or never got started, blackplanet, migente, hi5, streetspace
I’m sure there are more but are they worth research….Hell No….either way myspace is desperately trying not to go into that cold fold, and there latest attempt at a comeback to the top is adding something that could possibly change the game……an open Email…that’s right you can now get an @myspace email(TatWza@myspace), no more only contacting each other only through myspace, now your Gmail, yahoo, hotmail, aol, msn, .mac, or whatever type of email you deal with on the regular, can email someone on myspace, and someone on myspace can email those accounts from myspace
Now you ask “what are the advantages, and disadvantages of having a myspace email?”
Good question, IF you are one of those who use myspace to stress your music(uuhhg, blah) then you just expanded your annoyance level 10 fold(just don’t email me fam please, I have a showcase for new music)or IF your actually popular and your myspace is something people may want to see, you expand your promo base, which is good!
Personally, I’m not sure this will help myspace reclaim anything, especially if this email situation bogs down myspace like when they were at there peak with 100 million+ users, and it took 5mins every time you wanted to go to the next page, but we’ll see, if it doesn’t do that, it mos def could give them a nice little surge, just don’t count a lil surge as a victory, like Bush/Cheney did….Wait, Rupert Murdock owns myspace, who also owns fox news and he’s Bush’s Cuz…..who knows what kinda hype they’ll spew out of this?!? I’m not falling for the banana in the tailpipe(circa beverly hills cop) and get a better mobile app, Duhhh

Ok So I’ve had the new Twitterberry for a few hours now And I have to Say……I do like it….I’ve heard the complaints of the background is kindaoldschool and not right…and there are a couple of  people telling me its hurting their blackberry(I cant lie, it was hurting me too, but right now its clean!) to those people,  You could try to delete the .9 and re install, or maybe for now you should go back to .8 until its not beta. But for those of us pushing forward on .9 version, here’s whats cool about it……

Red Xbox

Well Well, To commemorate the release of Resident Evil 5, M$ Will be dropping this exclusive Red Resident Evil 5 xBox 360 bundle. I have to wonder if they had this planned ever since they released the red controller a while back. What do you guys think about it? With the RROD and xbox failure rate, I would think the marketing team would steer clear of anything red. According to engadget its gonna be around 399 with Resident Evil bundled.
