On September 10 T-Mobile announced revealed their new device, The HTC G2. Its going to be the first phone to take advantage of HSPA and speed. With the HSPA over T-Mobiles network, the G2 should be able to push out 21 MBPs. T-mobile is going to try the same thing Sprint did by having a phone that has dual network support with 3g and 4g The phone will feature a 4 row slider. QWERTY keyboard, with a optical trackpad. The processor of the G2 should be running on a 1 ghz processor, a 3.7-inch display screen and a 5.0 megapixel camera. The G2 comes with 4gbs of on board memory and you be able to add an extra 8gb with a micro SDHC card. And yes the G2 will be able to record video in 720p for your viewing pleasure. With these specs the G2 should be playing on the same field with phones like the EVO, Driod X and Droid 2. The phone will come with a stock OS (android 2.2) like the Nexus 1, but users may go the route of rooting it and having a custom UI. The G2 is set for an October 6 release.
